Key Role Description

Assists in the production of forward and backward-looking financial information and analysis used to support accounting and forecasting processes. Consolidates, troubleshoots and analyzes enterprise data from multiple sources in order to generate accurate reports. Tracks, reconciles and prepares reports and analysis to monitor purchases, sales, inventory and other business drivers that affect profitability and support overall management strategy.

Role Specific Competencies

Technical Knowledge - demonstrates the specific skills necessary for the assignments, understands the background and points of leverage to be effective in the role.

* Develops and maintains accurate Sales and Accounts Receivable historical reporting
* Prepares timely and accurate reporting during the weekly forecasting process and month-end accounting close.
* Develops appropriate analytical support for ad-hoc analyses including P&L, ancillary cost tracking, and balance sheet impacts.
* Reviews and processes invoices related to products purchases and ancillary costs.
* Works with the Billing department to verify that all billable tickets have been invoiced timely and according to agreements.
* Compiles data for and prepares regularly scheduled or special reports and analyses for various government agencies.
* Prepares an array of journal entries to accurately reflect general ledger activity, account analysis, and other special reports.
* Provides support for system improvement projects and new business initiatives as needed.

Experience and Skills

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

* 3-5 years’ minimum previous accounting experience with expertise in data analysis and the ability to gather and interpret data from multiple sources and systems.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related major. MBA/CPA preferred.
* Expert Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Familiarity or experience with SAP, Right Angle or other ERP system software preferred.
* Demonstrated proficiency in all of Role Specific Competencies.
